Why We Love Practicing in Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa, California, was founded in 1833 and officially incorporated as a city in 1868, making it one of the oldest cities in the North Bay region. The city gained fame as the longtime home of horticulturist Luther Burbank, who developed over 800 varieties of plants here between 1875 and 1926. Santa Rosa played a vital role in California’s agricultural development and became known as the “City Designed for Living” in the mid-20th century.
Today, Santa Rosa is the largest city in Sonoma County and the North Bay, serving as the economic and cultural hub of the renowned Wine Country region. The city blends urban amenities with natural beauty, offering residents easy access to world-class wineries, redwood forests, and the Pacific coast. Its vibrant downtown features locally-owned restaurants, craft breweries, and cultural attractions that celebrate both its rich heritage and innovative spirit.
What makes Santa Rosa truly special is its strong sense of community and commitment to quality of life, where residents enjoy a perfect balance of small-town friendliness and big-city opportunities in one of California’s most beautiful regions.

“Dr. Lynskey and her team are incredible. All three of my kids have had their braces done at her office and each time has been such a wonderful experience. They are all highly professional and truly care about their patients. Over the years they have become more like family. From amazing prices to affordable payment plans, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Victoria Lynskey for ALL your orthodontic needs. Thank you for taking such great care of my children and giving them the most beautiful smiles.” – Daniel Juarez (5 stars)
“As an adult orthodontia patient, I can not recommend Dr. Lynskey enough. Very confident (in an experienced way), canny, and a nice mix of professional and personable. I started treatment in a pretty bad place (two baby teeth in my thirties that had to get removed so I had some big gaps) but twenty months later you’d never know at all! All I am responsible for is cleaning the brackets and enduring discomfort, I am completely comfortable letting Dr. Lynskey take care of the rest. Special shout out to Dana (I believe that’s her name, the young lady with the moon tattoo on her arm) for having the fastest hands on the bracket doors in the west lol” – James Miller (5 stars)
